Chronic & Acute Pain
Acupuncture is proven to help alleviate neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, elbow and joint pain without the side effects of surgery or prescription medications.
Sports Injuries
Studies show acupuncture helps accelerate the healing of sprains, strains and spasms by decreasing inflammation and increasing blood flow resulting in quicker recovery and enhanced performance.
Migraines & Headaches
Studies in The Journal of the American Medical Association show acupuncture helps reduce the frequency of migraines without the side effects that often accompany medication.
Stress, Anxiety & Insomnia
Acupuncture helps regulate the nervous system and promotes a shift into a more relaxed, parasympathetic state.
This can help reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and support better mental and emotional balance.

Acupuncture can support digestive function by regulating the nervous system and improving gut motility.
It is often used for conditions such as bloating, reflux, constipation, diarrhea, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Patients often notice improvements in symptoms such as congestion, sinus pressure, sneezing, and watery eyes.

Menstrual Health
Acupuncture is proven to help PMS, regulate the menstrual cycle, and improve menstrual symptoms including those related to PCOS and endometriosis.
Menopausal Symptoms

Frequently Asked Questions About Acupuncture
How does acupuncture work?
Acupuncture works by influencing the nervous system, circulation, and other key systems in the body.
When specific points are stimulated, signals are sent to the brain and spinal cord. This can help reduce pain, decrease inflammation, relax muscles, and improve blood flow.
Acupuncture also supports the body more broadly by helping regulate stress, sleep, digestion, and hormonal balance.
By improving how these systems work together, acupuncture helps the body return to balance and heal more naturally.
What to expect.
Your first visit begins with a detailed discussion of your symptoms, health history, and goals. This helps us understand the underlying factors contributing to your condition.
Treatment typically involves the placement of very fine, sterile needles at specific points on the body. Most patients find acupuncture to be relaxing and often experience a sense of calm during treatment.
Appointments usually last about 45–60 minutes, including time to rest with the needles in place.
A series of treatments is often recommended, depending on the condition:
Acute conditions may improve within several visits
Chronic conditions may require a longer treatment plan
As your condition improves, occasional maintenance treatments can help support long-term health.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are extremely thin—much smaller than standard medical needles.
Most patients feel little to no discomfort during treatment. Some may notice a mild sensation of heaviness, warmth, or pressure, which is a normal response known as “De Qi.”
Many patients find acupuncture deeply relaxing.
Where are the needles placed?
Acupuncture points are not always located at the site of symptoms.
We often use a method called distal needling, where points are selected along pathways that influence different areas and systems of the body. This approach allows us to treat the body more comprehensively while keeping treatment comfortable.
Points are commonly placed on the arms, legs, head, or abdomen depending on your condition.
What should I wear?
You do not need to disrobe or change clothing for treatment.
We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to your arms and legs (such as shorts and a short-sleeve shirt).

What Our Patients Are Saying
I made an appointment to see Dr Eric for low back pain and sciatica from a slipped disc. I could barely walk when I arrived and on the very fist visit the pain was 80% gone from just a few needles in my hand. Amazing and would highly recommend!
I had a case of Bell’s Palsy last March. Elizabeth was able to restore me back to health when the neurologist told me there was nothing that could be done. I began seeing good results after a couple of visits. Thanks.
