Frequently Asked Questions

Billing & Payment

Fees are due at the time of service. If we are in-network with your insurance and able to submit a covered service, your estimated portion is due at the time services are rendered.

If your plan has chiropractic or acupuncture benefits, only musculoskeletal pain conditions are covered. Please be aware, insurance coverage no longer means free care and with rising deductibles it is common for insurance to not pick up any of the cost of services.

We will do our best to estimate your portion prior to your first visit so you can budget accordingly but you are ultimately responsible for all charges not payed by your insurance.

How should I prepare for my appointment?
  • Please fill out all forms prior to your visit.
  • Herbal Medicine: Don’t scrape or brush the coating off your tongue, and avoid eating or drinking things that could change the color of your tongue (coffee, juice, gum) for a couple of hours before your session.
  • Acupuncture: Don’t come on an empty stomach. Eat a light snack 1-2 hours before your acupuncture appointment to avoid possibly feeling dizzy during acupuncture treatment. Wear clothes that allow us access to your arms from shoulders down and legs from knees down.
  • Chiropractic & Soft Tissue: Wear clothes that allow for movement and if possible, access to the problem area. Avoid skirts or dresses if we are working on an issue anywhere between the low back to the feet.
  • Drink extra water after your treatment. Did you know the recommended daily intake of water is half your body weight in ounces? That means a 150 lbs person should drink 75 oz of water a day. That’s equivalent to almost 6.5 average sized plastic water bottles.
